In April 2019, Experian acquired Compuscan and Compuscan Credit Reference Bureau (Pty) Ltd (“Compuscan Namibia”), which entered the market in 2000 to address a need for a credit bureau in the microfinance industry and is a licensed credit bureau with the Bank of Namibia according to the country’s credit regulations. In March 2021, Compuscan Credit Reference Bureau was renamed Experian Credit Reference Bureau (Pty) Ltd, also known as Experian Namibia.
